Welfare Committee


The welfare committee is composed of five standing members. They are elected by the general assembly. It has its own chair-person, secretary and treasurer.

The primary responsibility of this committee is to study and make recommendation to the executive committee to provide assistance in the following areas.

  • Aid victims in natural disaster affected areas
  • Provide reading materials to high schools and colleges in Ethiopia by coordinating donation campaign with universities in the USA
  • Identify former Ethiopian employees who have retired with a very minimal retirement benefit and who are unable to support themselves and their families.
  • Work with other welfare organizations in Ethiopia and the USA that will benefit our Ethiopian brothers and sisters.
  • Conduct other research and studies as may be required by the executive.
