March 12, 2007 - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Ethiopian Airlines will continue its international expansion with new nonstop flights between Addis Ababa and Bahrain, effective 03 June 2007. The new flights will be the only nonstop flights between Addis Ababa and Bahrain, and will save customers three hours in travel time versus existing connections.

The new service will also connect Bahrain with 19 destinations throughout Africa via Ethiopian’s world-renowned hub at Addis Ababa. Passengers from Bahrain to Accra, for example, will save six hours over any competitor’s schedules.

With the addition of Bahrain, Ethiopian increases its presence in the Middle East and Gulf, where it is already operates double daily to Dubai, daily to Beirut, thrice weekly to Jeddah and effective May 2007 four times weekly to Sana’a. Ethiopian Airlines links more destinations in Africa to more destinations in the Middle East in the shortest period of time than any other carrier.
